We need you!
We’re strugling to get new members. Let’s get the word out, and make this club a success.
We’ve got a great location, and interesting and informative content. What we don’t have are warm seats in the chairs.
Our August meeting was a bit of a good/bad surprise. We did not get to see our Izzy Doll demonstration, as expected, however we did get a few new guests joining our meeting.
As a responce from our recent, front page article, in the Port Dover Maple Leaf, we had 3 guests show up. When it became clear that we were not getting our schedualed demo, both Evelyne and Emily stepped up to give a demonstration of some of the basics, as an introduction to machine knitting. We hope it was enough to bring them back next month!
Another guest dropped in to donate a flat bed knitting machine. It is an older model Epismal (metal). Although not in perfect condition, it does appear to be functional. We have decided to keep it to donate as in introductory machine if one of our new members needs a machine to get started.
Evelyne has stepped up to the plate, and vollunteered to be Vice President of the club, so we can now set up for e-transfers for a method of payment.
Hopefully next month we will be able to get on track with our Izzy doll demo. how to made an “Izzy” doll. Once again, information on the “Izzy” doll initiatave can be found here: https://izzydoll.org/en/
As the songs asks, Will I see you in September?
